MacKenzie Swan

MacKenzie Swan is an ambitious and driven individual, currently pursuing a Bachelor of Accounting while working as an Undergraduate Accountant at Power Tynan. With a Certificate 3 in Business and a passion for numbers, MacKenzie brings a diverse range of skills and experiences to the table.

Having joined Power Tynan in March 2022, MacKenzie initially started in an administrative role after school. Throughout high school, MacKenzie also gained valuable experience in various customer service roles, honing interpersonal and communication skills that are essential in the accounting profession.

As an integral part of the team, MacKenzie assists clients with a range of tasks, including preparing Business Activity Statements, handling simple Individual Tax Returns, and performing data entry into accounting software such as MYOB and Xero. With a keen attention to detail and a strong work ethic, MacKenzie ensures accuracy and efficiency in every task undertaken.

The inspiration to pursue a career in accounting sparked in Year 9 when MacKenzie began studying Business. The fascination with accounting only grew stronger with each passing year, culminating in a decision to focus on accounting subjects during high school. This dedication and passion led MacKenzie to pursue further education in the field and ultimately join Power Tynan.

What MacKenzie enjoys most about the job is the people. The supportive and collaborative environment at Power Tynan's Stanthorpe office fosters a strong sense of teamwork, where everyone is willing to lend a hand and help each other succeed. Whether it's providing direct work support or assisting with university studies, the team's dedication shines through.

Outside of work, MacKenzie finds joy in playing soccer and spending time on the family farm. Embracing an active lifestyle and a love for sports, MacKenzie values the balance between work and personal passions.

With a thirst for adventure, MacKenzie's number one bucket list item is to travel to at least 20 different countries around the world. This desire to explore new cultures and experiences fuels MacKenzie's curiosity and global perspective.
