Accounting was part of my school curriculum. I found I was good at it and enjoyed it so it seemed to be a natural career path.
Today, my greatest enjoyment is in helping clients' business progress and grow, and then look back with them to see how far they have come. It is all a part of building strong working relationships.
Within the office, I love the breadth of staff ages and level of qualification; it adds up to a great working environment. The result is that, when work needs to be done, everyone chips in and there is no person who feels they are "above" any job.
Of course, we all battle the time constraints and balancing our efforts between continuing to train and manage staff so that we meet our clients' expectations every time.
Outside of my work with Power Tynan, my greatest enjoyment is travel. I lived in England for nearly five years and met my partner there, so we try to get back to see family as often as possible. And, of course, we take time to visit Europe while we are on that side of the world. I thoroughly enjoy experiencing different cultures and lifestyles.
