BUSINESS BASICS GRANTS PROGRAM – REGISTRATION OF INTEREST OPENS 30 SEPTEMBER 2024
The Queensland Government has recently launched the Business Basics grant program – Round 6 to provide support to businesses so they can increase their core skills and adopt best practice. The support program will fund the following 3 activities including:
- Website build or upgrades
- Website build upgrade (including website refresh)
- Adding eCommerce functionality
- Developing new website content
- Integration with third party tools
- Professional business advice including:
- Business plans
- Financial planning and budgeting
- Business structure advice
- Operational efficiency reviews
- Business mentoring and guidance
- Strategic partnerships and networking
- Strategic marketing services including:
- Strategic marketing plans including search engine optimisation advice
- Content marketing strategy
- Market research
- Branding strategy
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) implementation
The funding available is a single up-front fixed payment of $7,500 excluding GST. As a result, funding will not be available to activities with either a total cost of less than $7,500 (ex GST). The approved activity must be completed within 4 months of receiving the approval letter.
To be eligible for this grant your business must:
- Have fewer than 5 employees at the time of applying for the grant
- Have an ABN
- Be registered for GST
- Have a Queensland headquarters
- Have an expected turnover of $300,000 or less for the financial year, 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024.
- Not be insolvent or have owners/directors who have been declared bankrupt.
- Not have been approved for funding under an earlier round of Business Basics.
- Have business headquarters in either the Southeast Queensland or Regional Queensland Local Government Areas as shown below:
Registration of interests opens at 9am Monday the 30 September 2024 and will close at 5:00pm on Friday 11 October 2024. Selected Registration of Interests will be invited to then complete a full application.
