Festive Finances – A Year-End Checklist

As the holiday season approaches, our Leasing & Finance Team at Power Tynan extends warm wishes for a joyful and prosperous festive season to all our valued clients. In this years Christmas Newsletter, we want to ensure that you make the most of the holiday cheer, while keeping your financial goals on track! To help you achieve this, we have prepared an end-of-year financial checklist. Let’s start 2024 off with financial confidence and understanding!

1. Review your Mortgage Terms:

The end of the year is a great time to review your mortgage. Check your interest rate, the remaining balance and any changes in your financial situation including your equity position. If there are opportunities to refinance, our team can assist you in evaluating your options.

2. Budget for the holidays:

With the holiday season upon us, it is easy to overspend. There are many resources available to you that can help you create a simple budget that allows you to enjoy the festivities without straining your finances. By planning now, you can avoid accumulating debt that could affect your financial well-being in the long run and that could potentially cause unnecessary stress in the 2024 new year.

3. Year-end Financial Review:

Take some time to review your overall financial picture. This includes investments, savings account and retirement plans including your personal insurances. These are often items that can get overlooked or forever placed on the backburner. Our team can assist you in conducting a thorough year-end review to ensure that you are on the right track to meet your long-term financial goals.

4. Home Equity Considerations

If you’ve been diligently paying down your mortgage, or you were able to take advantage of those super low rates we have sadly said goodbye to, you may have built up valuable home equity. Explore the possibilities of using your home equity wisely, such as investing in home improvements, consolidating higher debts, or expanding your property portfolio.

In the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it’s easy to overlook important financial matters, however with the guidance of Power Tynan’s Leasing & Finance experts, you can maintain financial stability while enjoying a well-deserved break and the season’s festivities. We’re here to help you navigate the complexities of homeownership after another volatile year in the market. If you have any questions or need assistance with any of the items on this checklist, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank those clients who have trusted us with their finance needs for 2023 and we look forward to continuing to support our existing and new clients into 2024!

Wishing you a wonderful holiday season and prosperous New year!
